Happy New Year and what a slippery start to 2023!
Happy new year to my past, present and future clients, friends, family, and colleagues. I’m wishing you all the very best, and all the success and happiness with the new year.
With the new year comes the promises of all the great things that you wish to have or start with for the New Year. For some, it’s nothing, for others it’s a determination to finally start the things you’ve been procrastinating on, like health, personal finances, professional self, or maybe a hobby or course. It’s a commitment to yourself you’re finally going to see through, but, don’t set the bar too high for yourself. Take small steps towards your goal or goals, as this will be more successful.
Changing habits are hard to do as well. Try trading old or bad habits out for new habits that will help guide you to that place or goal you have been wanting to achieve.
Changing habits is rarely ever easy and sometimes rooted very deeply into us. Most of our opinions and beliefs are built from other peoples opinions that were from our family, friends, teachers and coaches whose own beliefs have no science or facts to support it but have been passed down from their peers.
Five years ago I wanted to quit smoking. A habit I have enjoyed wasting money on since I was in high school. To quit this habit I had to replace it with another habit that I could do instead of eating! Lol! My wife bought me a book written by Charles Duhigg called “The Power of Habit”.
In this book I found a cool idea where he suggested every time I was craving a cigarette I would flex my stomach muscles until the urge for a smoke passed. It took some time, but during home and work I would practice doing this instead of going outside to wrap my head in another smoke cloud and can say I am still free of the burden of the costly habit to this day.
The idea of the blogs I will post this year will be around the many different aspects of Real Estate like financing, insurances, buying and selling hacks, different types of Real Estate like Freehold, joint, investment, waterfront, farming, and multi family.
There is so much we will look at and together learn from what I know, can research and answer, from the questions I get along the way. So, I Hope everything you want in your new year comes true and remember; you’re not competing against anyone but you.
So go be your personal best year after year, and you will have no choice but to be as great as you ever wanted, and go beyond your wildest dreams.
